The Last by Animal Trainer

The rather mysterious and upcoming Swiss act named 'Animal Trainer' are the next to add their silken beats to the growing Poker Flat Digital catalogue.

Smooth, nocturnal and tantalisingly withheld, the fathom-deep synth washes of 'The Last' breeze by with tense, melancholic moments and sublime subtleties. Classical arranged, it's a timeless tribute to tech-house.

British sensation John 'J' Shepheard works 'The Last' into a more dramatic ride, setting the scene with other-worldly strings and an urgent cosmic disco mentality. Using the phasing theme riff wonderfully, his late-night remix is a quintessential journey track, simple yet carefully dense.

On the other side of the coin, 'The First' is a less foreboding jam, focusing on blissed out synth work and mysterious vocal mumblings. Beautiful, delicate and pristine, Animal Trainer still holds steady with a super-funk bassline amongst the prettiness.
